The 2012 Annual Campaign for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Waynesboro, Staunton & Augusta County

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Waynesboro, Staunton & Augusta County, I would like to thank you for being The One. One Person who is willing to help a child have a safe and positive environment every day after school. With your help, our Boys & Girls Club provides youths with activities designed to capture their interests, teach skills and build supportive relationships. These relationships are the means to a much greater end.
This year, the It Takes Just One … 2012 Annual Campaign has a fundraising goal of 1,000 participants in the “Everyday Heroes” program. We know that it takes just one caring adult to make a lasting difference in the life of a child. Concentrating on youths who need us most, our Club provides programs in health, education, career exploration, the arts and sports, fitness and recreation. Most importantly, we specialize in character development. Every day, staff members at the Boys & Girls Club are faced with the task of providing young people with guidance, a sense of belonging and the skills they need to succeed in life.
We purposely keep dues low, less than $50 per year – so that all young people will have the opportunity to join. You can help create this opportunity – to develop relationships with caring professionals and to experience programs that build character – by making a financial contribution to our Club in 2012.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Waynesboro, Staunton & Augusta County, I respectfully request that you consider a gift to the It Just Takes One … Annual Campaign and become an “Everyday Hero”. You can be The One – you can make a difference. Funds raised in this campaign will be used for general operating purposes and are necessary to run a successful and effective organization.
